Phantom of the Night - Part 3

Central Park Tower, one of the tallest buildings in New York City, as well as an excellent location to brut.   Two days passed since everything went down so Tyler started making a habit of coming here.   It was taller than the Empire State Building and let him take in more of the nightlife view.   Tonight, he was lying on the roof, not far from the beacon, and staring up at the night sky thinking about how to make up with Jennifer. They hadn’t talked much since their argument about him lying to her; ending with him revealing his secret identity to her.  He had to think of something he could do that would make up for the lying and secret keeping.  The problem was, he wasn’t sure if she was still actually mad about all that or if she just had to process everything.  In the short term, it didn’t matter, they weren’t talking and he was even less focused than before. Susie got his attention and said “So I’m guessing that you still haven’t talked to her....

Phantom of the Night - Part 2

Tyler and Susie stood in front of the wall-mounted monitor in Lab 3, waiting for Serene to show her report on the tablet they recovered a few days ago.  Maria Gomez, also known as Phantom, gave the tablet to him after she had a look through it.  She told him it had a list of machine parts, their serial numbers, and some GPS information.  To be safe they had Serene scrub through the tablet and make a digital copy of it to share with Detective Lin. Phantom of the Night - Part 1

The subway, one of the major modes of transportation in NYC; also, the regular stomping ground for Tyler as of late.   Over the last few weeks, several maintenance workers reported seeing people in the tunnels and stuff going missing.   Of course, Tyler knew that The Order uses the subway as a means of getting between bases so he used the reports to better improve his search.   It was in the second week that he, finally, started having luck.   Unfortunately, someone seemed to be just ahead of him. Twice he found groups of Order agents that were knocked out and put safely to the side of the tunnel.  Finally, he came across a group of agents pushing a cart with three metal boxes.  Tyler threw a stone to distract them and then fired an NRG blast at one.  He fell to the ground as one took off, leaving the cart, and the other pulled out a blaster.  He fired in his direction, in a wide sweep, but Tyler dodged it and moved in close to the agent....
